PATRIOTIC GIFT IDEAS - BEDROOM DECORATIONS

If you have a friend with a summer birthday, consider a patriotic gift. I believe that when things get tough, a little patriotism can be an excellent reminder of how much better off we are than most any other country in the world. By no means are shows of patriotism limited to the first week or so in the month of July. However, because of the 4th of July holiday and the celebrations associated with it we might tend to put a little more focus on gifts or home decorations that display classic patriotic motifs and colors.
Decorative items with these designs that make excellent gifts range from elegant stained glass Tiffany style lamps military symbols to funky red, white and blue electric guitars. No matter how formal or informal, there's a way to decorate your teen girl's dorm room, bedroom or first studio apartment in ways that will honor her country and remember those who serve in the various branches of the military.
In the not so distant past, the only patriotic gift that was available was an American Flag with a means to display it on the front of your house. The flag is still a popular decorative choice for any home, but for the inside of the home there are many modern options that will delight your patriotic barrel racing cowgirl or cowboy as well as a biker who may be a member of one of the motorcycle clubs whose members are veterans who fought with honor and pride in the Vietnam War and others.
I have seen some area rugs that were woven like an American flag and I have to say that I'm not a fan of the idea of people walking on this proud symbol of what this country is about. Patriotic gifts with pictures of the flag, flags on guitars, American emblems painted on the tank of a motorcycle or even flags used as window treatments don't bug me too much. But there's just something about the Stars and Stripes underfoot that seems disrespectful and while I don't judge other people's taste in home decor, I would like to encourage you to choose patriotic bedroom designs and gifts for teen girls that display our country's symbols with the pride and respect that they deserve.
